Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
Embark on an exciting three-day desert journey from Fes to Marrakech. Start your first day by being picked up from the airport or your accommodation in Fes, then explore Ifrane, known for its snowy landscapes and cold temperatures. Continue your journey to the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary Macaques. After lunch, continue your journey through the Sahara Desert, crossing the Tizi n’Telghemt Pass and then to the Merzouga Desert. Day 2: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Wake up early in the morning to witness the magical sunrise in the middle of the desert. Enjoy breakfast and then ride on camel back to Merzouga, where your driver is waiting for you. Leave the desert and explore the old city of Rissani, the capital of Tafilalt, and its large and lively market. Continue your journey to Erfoud to visit the petrified marble workshop, then through the palm groves of Trouj and Tingdad to reach the Todgha Gorge. Enjoy the beauty of the gorge’s landscape, then have lunch in one of the restaurants. Continue your journey to the Dades Valley, through Boumalne Dades, and see the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Finally, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.
Day 3 Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breakfast, continue your journey to Kelaat M’Gouna, where a pleasant visit to the Valley of the Roses awaits you. Enjoy the annual Rose Festival in May, and discover local rose products such as perfumes, rose water, oil and cosmetics. Continue your journey through the palm groves of Skoura, then reach Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. Visit the studios where famous films were filmed, then continue your journey to the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the stunning beauty of the High Atlas Mountains, and have lunch in an interesting place. Finally, arrive in Marrakech, where your journey ends.
